Unless you accepted responsibility for daily cleanup of the site as a way to save some money on your remodeling cost, the workers should be doing the daily cleanup.

First, review your contract for specific statements about how the site is to be left at the end of the day and any notes about who is responsible for cleanup. If there is nothing making you responsible for cleanup, you should have a talk with the contractor or the subcontractor responsible for the actions of the workers.

If you hired a general contractor to manage the project, s/he should be the one to have the conversation and insist that the site be cleaned up and put in order at the end of each day.

If you are managing the project, you will need to have the conversation with the appropriate contractor(s).

The contract is your proof that it is the responsibility of the workers to clean up at the end of the day.
