If you are considering selling your home, you may want to think about making improvements to your home before placing it on the market. In today’s economy, the better the property looks, the easier it will be to sell it.

Some improvements to consider might be:
1.      New paint on the walls and spackle on the walls to make a smooth fresh finish.
2.      New stain or paint on kitchen cabinets to increase the appeal of the kitchen.
3.      New fixtures and faucets in the kitchen and bathroom may help you create a more luxurious feel to your kitchen or bathroom.
4.      New door framing to improve the appearance of an opening or simply to give it a more finished look.
5.      An updated kitchen or bathroom is a big seller as well. Maybe a new countertop and back splash and border paper to spruce it up a bit.
6.      New door hardware to replace the old worn out and stained hardware. Nothing says “Welcome” like new door knobs and kick plates. The door is the first thing perspective buyers see when they pull up to your house. Why not let them make an impression?
Remodeling your kitchen or bathroom?
There are other improvements a home owner can do to improve the appearance of a home they are selling such as painting the outside of the home, caulking windows and door frames, cleaning or replacing carpeting, putting a high gloss shine on tile floors, and even painting the exterior fixtures like shutters and guttering. All of this can greatly improve your homes value and appeal. You are apt to have more potential buyers with these amenities than without them.
