Several styles of gutter guards are available from various manufacturers. Clogged gutters can cause leaks or drainage problems. Unclogging traditional (uncovered) gutters almost always requires climbing a ladder and reaching to remove debris from the gutters. This can be dangerous. Installing gutter guards reduces the risk of leaks caused by water passing through the gutters, reduces the risk of drainage problems from overflowing gutters, and eliminates the often-dangerous work of removing debris from the gutters. As we grow older, the risk involved in climbing ladders and reaching to clean gutters increases. Installing gutter guards will save time, trouble, eliminate the risk of falling, and prevent overflowing and leaking.
