If your remodeling project includes updating or changing your heating system, be sure to ask a lot of questions about your options. You will save big money by choosing a system that disperses heat through the same system of ducts or pipes. For example, changing from a hot water heat dispersal system (hot water baseboard or radiators) to a forced air system (gas or electric) will require major changes in your home. The pipes that carry the hot water will have to be replaced with air ducts and vents. This will require many holes in your walls and ceilings. Not only will you incur the cost of removing the old and installing the new, you will also have major drywall and ceiling repairs to do. If you can find an efficient system that moves the heat in the same way, you will save a big bundle.
