Before you purchase a new ceiling fan, consider refinishing the blades to match your new design. If you are simply in need of a new color, just apply new paint to the blades. If you want to change from painted to stained wood, just remove the blades, tape over any parts you don’t want to change, strip off the paint or finish, and either paint or re-stain the blades to match your remodel. This can save as much as $150 per fan.
