One of the greatest ranges of variation in the prices of materials is in countertop materials. The same color and material may cost considerably more at one store compared to another. Color and pattern make a big difference for some dealers. My best advice is to shop with two or three possible colors or patterns in mind. Make notes as you check prices in several stores and in more than one type of store. As you are pricing, ask each dealer about availability of the color and pattern you are considering. When you have done your comparisons you will be able to choose the color and design you like best and buy if from the dealer that offers the best price. The savings can sometimes be as much as 10 – 15%.
