Fall is a great time to spruce up your home, as the kids are back in school and there is still time before the hectic holidays arrive. Why not take the time to do some “redecorating?”

Pick a room and give it a fresh coat of paint. You know you have been thinking about it for a long time, so go ahead and take the plunge. Make sure you pick three different colors because chances are, two of them will not work once you get the paint on the wall.

Re-arrange the furniture that you already own. In-other-words, take something you have in one room and try it in another. You will be amazed at how much this simple and cost effective “trick” can be. Once you have made the move, embellish it with something store bought — like a pair of bright colored pillows.

Get in the autumn mood with scented candles. Time to take out the throws and dust them off for the coming winter. Finally, add some drama with fall-colored flowers on your dining room table.
