Got the same space in your bathroom for the tub but want to get a whole new? Opt for a free-standing tub instead of the old fashioned built-ins which were so popular inthe  80’s and 90’s. In fact, free-standing tubs have come a long way in the last 20 years. No longer confined to the traditional or vintage claw foot style, the newer versions can easily slip into the “spa-like” look and feel of a contemporary, remodeled bathroom. Add a crystal chandelier above, and you have transformed the same spot your former bathtub inhabited!
Caution: There are two areas of concern. First, make sure there is adequate space around the new tub area for cleaning. Second, never place the faucets so that you have to bend over the entire tub to turn them on or off.  That is true with tub, so be smart and plan ahead! Search for more ideas with our Decorating Idea search tool.  Search by room, keyword, style and even color!  Find something you like?  Save it, share it and add a few notes so you can find it later.
