Setting the indoor “stage” for holiday decorating can be a hassle. However, here are some easy, economical and helpful tips.

The Centerpiece: One of the most creative and cost effective ideas for a festive holiday centerpiece on your dining room table involves using real fruit (like white and green pears), nuts and fall-colored leaves. Make a simple arrangement using your favorite bowl. Or, if you are game for something new, try a decorative glass bowl.

The Fireplace: Re-use some of the the same leaves from your centerpiece on the fireplace mantle as a “tie-in.”  Then add small gourds, pumpkins and pine cones. Don’t forget to flank each side of the mantle with a couple of glass hurricanes.

The Guest Bathroom: There is nothing like the smell of Thanksgiving in your guest bathroom!  Candles, potpourri and autumn-colored towels add to the charm.  Make sure everything is extra clean and neat to impress your most-treasured guests.
