If you are a homeowner with an aging kitchen, you my be wondering if you should remodel it or move to a new home. Since you spend so much time in the kitchen, its important that it is warm and up-to-date. If not, a kitchen remodel may just be what your home needs!

Start by asking yourself a few basic questions. First, do you want to remodel the entire kitchen or are there just parts of it that need to be changed?

Think of your appliances, flooring, lighting, cabinetry and the general layout.

Next, make a budget for each of the categories listed above. Be realistic. You may want all the “bells and whistles,” but they cost more and may not be within your budget.

Finally, make a Plan A, B and  even a C, especially if you are on a tight budget. And don’t forget to consult with professional contractors and interior designers for their expert advice. They will save you money!
