A Transformation Done with White Paint

At first glance, it seems as if this bathroom has been through a lot of changes. The after look is very different from the before look. But this bathroom is changed with just white paint. The walls and the floor are painted white. The rug is swapped with a new one. And this small change has a huge impact. After the slight tweaks, this bathroom looks so bright and airy.

A Weekend Makeover

A Weekend Makeover

source it all started with paint

This bathroom was quite ugly when the homeowner bought this home. It was transformed over a weekend, and the result is so amazing. As you can see, the towel bar above the toilet seat is replaced with three beautiful floating shelves. The vanity is painted in classy light blue and the medicine cabinet in white. The cabinet pulls are changed, and the floor is also revamped. A new shower curtain in crisp white divides the toilet from the bathtub. Some tiny functional details such as a toilet paper holder and towel hooks are also introduced. The completed look of pale blue and white looks so serene.

The makeover of this bathroom focuses on changing the old vanity and medicine cabinets. The finish of the vanity was all weathered, so it is refreshed with a darker stain. The stain on the mirror is also renewed. The medicine cabinets were taken apart and replaced with a very chic and modern DIY ladder shelf. The ladder shelf not only provides storage for toiletries but also has a towel bar. The wall is painted in light blue that complements the dark color of the vanity well.

A Modern Classic Makeover

This bathroom earlier had a hardwood vanity that is painted in navy blue. Glamorous golden cabinet handles complement the navy blue. The single mirror is swapped with two mirrors with simple borders. The round sinks are also replaced with rectangular ones along with new faucets. Wall lights above the mirrors complete the look of the vanity area. In the earlier version, there were shelves above the toilet seat that are removed in the new version. The bathtub shower enclosure had curtains which are replaced with a glass wall. A tiled recess inside the shower enclosure with glass shelves keeps the shampoo bottles in an arm’s reach.

A Half Bath Remodel

This bathroom earlier had quite dated vibes. There were small square tiles on the floor reaching up till half of the wall behind the toilet seat. The rest of the walls had blue wallpaper. The vanity cabinet and the mirror were distressed and ugly. The makeover includes the same floor tiles, this time stencil painted with a beautiful blue pattern. The wall behind the toilet has subway tiles vertically. Vertical subway tiles is a trick you can use to make a small bathroom look bigger. Perpendicular tiles conceal the small size of a bathroom. An elegant blue vanity replaces the old one. The ugly shelving at the side of the toilet seat is gone. The curtain and the towel ring above the toilet are also banished. A new toilet paper holder replaces the older one.

The vanity was the major component of this bathroom that had a traditional finish. In the new look, we can see it is sanded and made more functional with the addition of drawer pulls, and cabinet handles in black. The frameless rectangular mirror is replaced with a round black mirror. Regarding the floor, the same linoleum tiles are painted in a charcoal gray color. Half of the wall behind the toilet seat is covered in classic white subway tiles, and half of the wall is painted gray. The medicine cabinet above the toilet seat is sanded and painted white. A towel bar and a toilet paper holder are fixed beside the toilet seat. The lighting fixture above the mirror is also improved. To make it even more stylish and cozy a wall art and a rug are added. The remodel is quite balanced concerning the colors as the gray color looks cool, and the wood vanity looks warm.

Earlier the walls of this bathroom were in a light green color that is changed to gray. The white vanity looks fresh after a coat of gray paint. It has also received new hardware. The old wall art is replaced with a DIY farmhouse sign, and the mirror is revamped with a stained wood frame. The lighting fixture above the mirror is changed. The chevron shower curtains are gone, and now there are gray microprint white curtains. A bench is painted in a charcoal gray color. The wall art above it is replaced with towel hooks. The gray walls look far better than the light green previously. The bathtub, the shelves, and the floor are still the same. The wall behind the toilet got a makeover with faux bricks. Two floating shelves are also fixed on the wall. The freestanding toilet paper older is replaced with a sturdy wall-mounted holder. The remodeled look is very fresh and clean.

The overall look of this bathroom was quite generic in the before version. With pink walls and green accents, it was far from stylish. The makeover is done by painting the wall in a blue color with a white molding adding style. The old mirror was small and overly ornate. It is replaced with a larger white mirror frame. The knick-knacks on the shelf are improved while the shelf and the rug are still the same. So, this means if you let the fixtures be the same, and change the wall and mirror of a bathroom, you can make a huge difference. This way you can save a lot of money on the remodel, with pleasing results.

A Beautiful Transformation

This remodel is started by focusing on the changes in the hardware. As you can see, the vanity cabinet has new pulls in a better and functional design. Two mirrors replace the huge large mirror in the before version. The mirrors have elegant wooden frames. A double rod towel bar above the toilet provides twice the storage than before. New lights bring charm above the mirrors, and the wall is now gray instead of white. The floor is still the same with two rugs rolled over the floor beside the vanity. A bath set in dull gold on top of the vanity counter and a vase with flowers bring even more life to this bathroom. So, this means if you have a vanity that is still in good condition, you can change its hardware, refresh the wall paint, change the mirrors and lighting and you’re good to go. There is no need to change the floor and other fixtures.

Sometimes to get a dream project done, there is no harm to splurge a bit. Here is a bathroom that has its budget towards the higher price side, but the result is worth the indulgence. In the before pictures, you can see there was not much in this bathroom. The design of the vanity was boring. The remodel flashes a beautiful white vanity with a marble countertop. Two mirrors along with wall sconces take the decor game to another level. The floor has faux wood tiles, and a rug in an arabesque pattern adds further charm. On top of the vanity on the ceiling, there is a crystal lighting fixture. There was a small cabinet above the toilet. In the new look, two floating shelves provide additional storage above the toilet seat.

The glass door of the shower is now an industrial-chic black framed glass door that looks quite striking. A ladder gives a rustic feel to this bathroom. It stores neatly organized towels. Wood boards cover the wall behind the bathtub. A faux leaf wreath and a window frame with leaves add even more life. A repurposed wooden crate shelf provides a space to store extra toilet paper rolls and clean towels.

This small bathroom has gone from drab to fab. As you can see, it was earlier in an overwhelming green color. It had a builder-grade sink and a mirror. After the remodel, a mirror shines across the width of the bathroom. Strips of paint and white tiles cover the lower part of this bathroom.  Wood vanity with a hammered metal sink replaces the ere pedestal sink in the before version. The homeowner has wallpapered the ceiling instead of painting it conventionally. Two orange drum pendant lights make this tiny bath warm and cozy.

This bathroom was done mostly in blue with brown vanity. A blue bathroom usually symbolizes tranquility, but when it gets too much, it can become overwhelming.  This bathroom also had the same issue. In the remodel, we can see a completely different look. The style adopted here is rustic. The bathtub/shower enclosure glass door is gone. Beautiful tiles cover the walls surrounding the bathtub that match the weathered wood ceiling. The wood vanity has a black sink and a wall-mounted faucet. Its counter is spacious and provides ample storage. The mirror frame also harmonizes with the vanity counter, and the backsplash is an extension of the shower enclosure tiles. Three barn lights hang above the vanity mirror, completing the look. The toilet seat and the bathtub are also white compared to the blue ones in the before picture.

The earlier version of this vanity integrated a sink and a makeup table. The newer version is better and chic. The built-in bathtub is gone, and now we can see a freestanding clawfoot bathtub. A chandelier adds even more charm.
