How do I delete my entire iCloud music library?

To delete your entire iCloud Music Library, you will need to go to iTunes > Preferences > General and click the Reset button. This will prompt iTunes to delete your iCloud Music Library, including any music you’ve purchased, downloaded or matched from the iTunes Store.

Note that this process can take several minutes and depending on the size of your library, it may take a considerable amount of time. You should also be aware that resetting your iCloud Music Library means that you will lose any playlists, liked songs, play counts, and other metadata associated with your music.

Once your iCloud Music Library has been reset, you will then need to go to your Apple Music app > Account > iCloud Music Library and turn it off. This will ensure that any music stored in iCloud will be permanently deleted.

Why is Apple Music taking up storage?

Apple Music takes up storage on a device because the service stores songs and other content on the device locally. This allows users to listen to music without having to stream it over the internet, which can help save on data costs and potentially improve audio quality.

Furthermore, Apple Music downloads and stores higher-quality versions of songs than what can be streamed, thus increasing storage requirements. Additionally, when users save music to their library but don’t download it, it is taking up storage space for the files metadata.

Finally, Apple Music also creates caching files, which use up more storage space.

What happens if I sync my iPhone with another iTunes Library?

If you sync your iPhone with another iTunes library, all of the content on the device, including photos, music, contacts, and apps, will be replaced with content from the new library. Any existing content on your iPhone that is not in the new library will be removed.

Additionally, any existing settings and configuration you’ve made on your device will be overwritten by those from the new library. Therefore, syncing your iPhone with a different iTunes library should only be done with caution and understanding of its potential consequences.

Your playlists will also be deleted, so you won’t be able to access the music you had saved or shared with other Apple Music users.
