Panels in Adobe Illustrator are located on the right-hand side of the workspace and contain tools and other features used to create and modify vector graphics. These panels are organized into several categories, such as Tools, Swatches and Layers, to quickly access the functions you need without having to search the entire interface.

Tools allows you to create and modify the shapes and graphics you create in the workspace. Here you will find tools to draw lines, rectangles, circles, curves, and other shapes, as well as move, rotate, align, and scale objects.

How do clipping masks work in Illustrator?

Clipping masks in Illustrator allow you to use an object, such as a shape or a text box, to define the visibility of another object. To create a clipping mask, all you have to do is place the base object you want to be visible behind the object you want to act as the mask.

For example, you can use a rectangle as a clipping mask for an image you want to be visible when the user presses a button, or use a text box as a clipping mask for a logo.

Once you’ve placed the base object and the mask object onto your Artboard, select both objects and go to Object > Clipping Mask > Make. That’s it – now anything outside the boundaries of the mask object will remain hidden from the viewer.

Furthermore, you can modify the mask shape or resize it any time to change the visible area of the base object. You can also delete the mask and make any changes to the base object without affecting the mask.
