Whether it is watching a movie together after baby is asleep or a date night out, taking time away from diaper changes and feedings is a vital part of maintaining your relationship.

3. Find balance between routine and flexibility. Schedule in time for your baby, such as naps, feedings and playtime, but also prepare to adapt when necessary. Many new parents feel overwhelmed by so many rules and restrictions, when in fact, your baby will benefit from a mixture of both routine and flexibility.
