Why does Zip pay say in progress?

What does Zip pay pending mean?

Zip Pay Pending means the funds from a payment made with Zip Pay have been debited from the customer’s account but have not yet been credited to the merchant’s account. Unfortunately, ZipPay does not provide specific reasons why we may reject an application. Generally speaking, we will reject applications if the applicant is unable to meet the eligibility criteria or has a poor credit score.

We also may reject applications if there is evidence that the customer has previously misused credit. We may also reject applications if we believe the applicant may be unable to make repayments, if there are similar active credit accounts, if the application does not have sufficient information, or if the applicant does not meet our identity or authentication requirements.

It’s important to note too that our decision to reject an application is not an indication of personal creditworthiness.
