How long are Marco Polo videos saved?

Marco Polo videos are stored and available for playback for an indefinite period of time. However, after 30 days of inactivity, the video will be archived and will no longer be seen in the main feed.

Archived videos can still be found under the “Archived” section in the app and will remain available until the user decides to delete them.

What happened to my old Marco Polo videos?

If you previously had videos stored on the Marco Polo app, you may have lost them if you downloaded the app again, signed out of the account, or deleted the app from your device. With the Marco Polo app, you need to be logged in to view your personal videos.

How do I delete old Marco Polo messages?

Deleting old Marco Polo messages is a fairly easy process depending on the version of the app you are using. If you have the updated version of the app (5.5.5 and later), you can delete individual messages by swiping left on them in the Player.

If you are using an older version of the Marco Polo app (prior to 5.5.5), you can delete a Conversation thread by tapping the three vertical dots in the upper right of the chat window and selecting “Archive”.

This will hide all messages in the Conversation, but does not delete them. To delete them for good, go back to the Home Screen, select the Conversation you just archived, and select “Delete Conversation”.

In the 5.5.5 and later versions, you can also delete the entire Conversation thread by tapping the three vertical dots in the upper right of the chat window. This will bring up the menu, where you can select “Delete Conversation”.

If you’re looking to delete just one specific message but don’t want to delete the entire thread, you can do that as well. Simply swipe left on the individual message and it will give you the option to “delete” that particular message.

No matter which version you have, it’s important to remember that you cannot undelete a Conversation or message after it has been deleted. So make sure you’re absolutely sure before you delete a Conversation or message.

How do you know if someone watched your video on Marco Polo?

If someone has watched your video on Marco Polo, you will receive a notification in the chat. You can also see within the chat how many times your video has been watched, as the watched count will increase with each view.

If a user has watched your video, an icon of an eye will appear next to the video screenshot in the chat. Additionally, you may be able to tell if someone has watched your video if you receive any reactions or replies in the chat after you send it.

When you delete a Marco Polo can the other person still see it?

If you are worried about sensitive messages being stored on someone else’s device, it is best to be mindful of the content of your messages.

What does the red dot mean on Marco Polo?

The red dot on Marco Polo signifies that a message has been received from someone. This dash of color provides a visual cue so that you can quickly and easily identify conversations that still require your attention.

When a new video message is sent to you, the most recent video that has been sent is marked with a red dot. This indicates that you haven’t yet seen the video, and it will disappear once you’ve opened and watched the video.

For group chats, the red dot will only appear if all members have not yet seen the latest conversation.

What happens when you block someone in Marco Polo?

When you block someone in Marco Polo, the person will no longer be able to contact you through the app or see any exchanges you have with any other contacts in your app. Any ongoing group conversations with the blocked person will disappear from your Polo list and any specific direct conversations with the person will no longer be visible.

The blocked person will also be unable to see any replay videos you have shared with everyone in your Marco Polo contacts. Lastly, the blocked person will not be able to view your profile and cannot invite you to any new conversations.

Can you recover deleted Marco Polos?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to recover deleted Marco Polos. Marco Polo is an ephemeral messaging app that is designed to permanently delete messages from a sender’s device and the receivers device once they have been viewed.

The app does not store any of the user’s messages, which means that once messages have been deleted, there is no way to retrieve them.

Do Marco Polo videos go away?

How do you hide on Marco Polo?

The Marco Polo App allows you to block contacts, so the easiest way to hide on Marco Polo is to block the contacts you don’t want to interact with. To block a contact, you need to open the chat with the contact and then tap on their name at the top of the chat window.

Once you’ve done that, you’ll see a page with a few options, including ‘Block’. Tap on Block and you’ll be asked to confirm that you want to block the contact. Once you’ve confirmed, that contact will no longer be able to contact you on Marco Polo or see any of your videos from the activity feed.

You can also make yourself invisible in the Marco Polo app. To do this, open the app, then go to Settings located in the top right corner. Once you’re in Settings, select Privacy, then toggle the switch next to ‘Invisible mode’ to the On position.

This will give you the ability to stay invisible to all contacts. You can log back in whenever you’re ready to become visible again.

How do you remove a name from your contact list?

Removing a name from your contact list depends on what type of device you’re using. For example, if you’re using an iPhone you can go to your Phone app, select Contacts, select the contact you want to delete, select Edit at the top of your screen and then select ‘Delete Contact’ or ‘Remove from Favorites’.

If you’re using an Android phone, open the Contacts app, select the contact you want to delete, press on the contact’s name, scroll down and select Delete. You may also be able to locate the option from the contacts list simply by pressing on the contact’s name for a few seconds.

If you’re using a computer, you may need to log onto the account associated with the contact list and delete the name from the online address book.
