Rey buries the lightsabers of both Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa. In the film Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Rey is seen burying both lightsabers as a sign of respect for the fallen Jedi. Luke’s green lightsaber was the one gifted to him by Obi-Wan Kenobi, which he used during his time as a Jedi.
Leia’s blue lightsaber was the same one she used during her training, given to her by Luke himself. As part of her final journey, Rey plants the lightsabers in the place of their fallen wielders, honoring them one last time.
